Welcome to Gretna East High School Counseling Department. We can be found just inside the main entrance of the high school. The counseling office at GEHS provides support to students for academic, college, and career planning, as well as addressing social and emotional concerns. Our office is dedicated to assisting students throughout their time at GEHS and equipping them with the necessary tools for success beyond graduation.

Each student is assigned a counselor/admin team based on the first letter of their last name. Students have the opportunity to meet with their designated counselor to discuss various matters, including course planning and selection, standardized testing, skill development, college searches and visits, transcripts and letters of recommendation, peer relationships, and home and health concerns, among other topics. Our counselors are deeply committed to supporting our students and their success.

For a transcript to be considered official, it must be sent via U.S. Mail or directly uploaded by GEHS.

All transcript requests will be through Schoolinks. You can request a transcript and other application documents by clicking on "Colleges" then "College Applications" and then add your application(s) to the list. This process can be used to send transcripts to colleges, universities, NCAA/NAIA and coaches. If you are sending your transcript to a scholarship or organization, please reach out to Mrs. G in the counseling office.
